Starting May 10, 2025, Vietnam Railways Corporation will introduce 20 luxury carriages on the Hanoi-Hai Phong railway line, designed to enhance the passenger experience with a variety of modern amenities.
These vibrant red carriages, inspired by the iconic flamboyant flower, will be operational on trains HP1/HP2, LP5/LP6, LP2/LP3, and LP7/LP8. The exterior showcases a striking red hue, reflecting the spirit of Hai Phong, the port city they serve.
Inside, the carriages provide a luxurious environment that seamlessly blends contemporary design with the region's rich cultural heritage.
Among the new additions are two exceptional models: a 34-seat VIP carriage and a 56-seat first-class carriage featuring rotating seats.
The VIP carriage boasts an Indochine design, merging modern aesthetics with traditional East Asian color tones to create an elegant atmosphere. It includes natural wood flooring, onboard Wi-Fi, a complimentary beverage bar, and live musical performances throughout the journey.
The 56-seat first-class carriage features seats that can rotate 180 degrees, allowing passengers to adjust their seating direction for added comfort.
All new carriages are equipped with semi-automatic doors, digital displays showing train location and speed, spacious hand-washing areas, modern restrooms, vinyl flooring, and stylish plastic wall panels with a marble pattern.
